• Using the carving knife, cut out a thin slice of soap from the front of the ear to create the cat’s head. Do the same for the other ear.
• Trim the edge of the head.
• Finally, remove the unwanted soap from the front of the tail, and then trim the edges of the tail and the body.
• Place the template on the soap and trace the cat’s paws, eyes, and nose with a toothpick.
• Carve the paws: Cut the cat’s paws, remove the soap from both sides of the paws, and trim the edges of them.
• Carve the ears: Cut a line for the inside of the ear per the template, and then slice off the inside of the ear. Do the same for the other ear.
• Carve the nose: Cut the nose and remove the soap around it.
• Carve the eyes: Cut an eye, remove the soap around the eye, and trim the edge of it. Carve a thin pointed oval shape in the eye. Do the same for the other eye.
• Slice off the soap between the face and body to create the neck. Smooth the face.
